if you're looking for a cheap, but decent one, try the Sultan Palace Hotel, located close to the Qubbat al-Mahdi Mosque. it's hardly "palatial", but is simple and clean instead. a single room with bathroom and breakfast is US$15. for three US dollars more, you could choose Taj Talha Hotel (on Talha St), which has perhaps the most beautiful view in Sana and it's a good place for a drink, too!
